Following a competitive tender process, Kelsey Construction secured the prestigious Design & Build contract to transform surplus green land adjacent to Rowland Road Park in Scunthorpe into a high-quality residential development.
The scheme delivers a total of 32 new homes, comprising a mix of 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom semi-detached properties designed to meet local housing demand while complementing the surrounding neighbourhood. The development also included full site infrastructure works: new incoming mains services, private drainage and attenuation systems, block-paved private access roads and driveways, and comprehensive landscaping and boundary treatments.
A key feature of the project was the construction of a new adoptable estate road and associated drainage network, alongside the creation of feature garden walling using reclaimed historical stone that formerly enclosed the site — preserving a tangible connection to the area’s heritage while enhancing the overall street scene.
The completed development has been widely praised for its architectural quality and visual impact, receiving positive recognition from residents, local media and businesses. Its success has established a new benchmark for future projects delivered for Ongo, reflecting Kelsey Construction’s commitment to design excellence, technical expertise and community-focused regeneration.
