GS Kelsey were proud to be appointed by Riverside Surgery and the NHS to deliver the extension and refurbishment of two surgeries within the Brigg area, forming part of a wider £1.7 million healthcare development completed over two carefully planned phases.
Phase One centred on the transformation of Broughton Medical Centre, where our team undertook a partial demolition of the existing structure to unlock improved access, enhance patient flow, and create space for a thoughtfully designed new extension. This strategic intervention laid the groundwork for a modernised facility tailored to meet the evolving needs of both patients and healthcare professionals.
The new single-storey extension was constructed using traditional cavity wall methods, complemented by a contemporary timber-clad façade that brings warmth and character to the exterior. Internally, the existing building was comprehensively refurbished, introducing new high-quality finishes throughout to create a refreshed, welcoming clinical environment.
A key element of the project was the full upgrade of mechanical and electrical services across the centre, ensuring compliance with the latest CQC and NHS standards. These enhancements futureproof the facility, supporting safe, efficient healthcare delivery for years to come.
Externally, the car park and surrounding areas were reconfigured to improve circulation and significantly increase patient parking capacity—enhancing accessibility and overall user experience.
This project reflects GS Kelsey’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare environments that combine thoughtful design, technical expertise, and a clear understanding of client and community needs.
