Appointed by Ongo Developments via direct selection through the EN Procure Housing Framework, Kelsey Construction delivered the full design and build of 28 high-quality social rent homes in Scunthorpe.

The development provides a carefully considered mix of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom bungalows, including two M4(3) wheelchair-accessible homes, ensuring inclusive, future-proofed accommodation that supports independent living.

As our first scheme delivered to meet the 2023 updates to Part L and Part O of the Building Regulations, the project sets a new benchmark for performance. Homes feature photovoltaic panels, battery storage and enhanced fabric insulation, significantly improving energy efficiency and reducing long-term running costs for residents.

The works also included full site infrastructure: new incoming mains services, private and adoptable drainage, estate road construction, driveways, footpaths and street lighting — creating a high-quality, fully serviced residential environment.

The scheme was recognised for its excellence, winning Best Small Social Housing Development at both the Regional and National awards hosted by Local Authority Building Control (LABC), demonstrating the strength of our workforce, supply chain and collaborative approach with our client and design team.
